Our verdict

Jobber is a safe, polished choice for small home-service businesses. It’s especially good if you’re solo and willing to pay annually: Core is $29/mo, or $21/mo for the first year. It gets expensive fast once you need automation or more people, and it costs far more month-to-month than its headline prices suggest.

What Jobber is

Jobber is general-purpose field service software. It isn’t built for one trade, which is why you see it recommended for cleaning, lawn care, pressure washing, handyman work and landscaping. It covers the full job cycle: request, quote, schedule, do the work, invoice, get paid. Clients get an online hub where they can approve quotes and pay invoices.

The plan most owners actually need

  • Core ($29/mo annual): enough if you send a handful of quotes a week and follow up yourself. You get online booking, quotes, invoices, card payments and a basic website.
  • Connect ($99/mo annual, 1 user): the plan that automates the follow-up work. It adds client reminders, automatic quote and invoice follow-ups, automatic payments and QuickBooks Online sync. If you lose jobs because quotes go unanswered, this is the upgrade that pays for itself.
  • Grow ($149/mo annual, 1 user): adds job costing, two-way texting, quotes with photos, optional line items for upselling, and custom automations. Worth it once you’re managing margins across a crew.
  • Plus ($399/mo annual, 5 users): for established crews that want crew scheduling, profit alerts and the Marketing Suite, Pipeline and AI Receptionist add-ons bundled in.

Watch the month-to-month price

Jobber’s pricing page leads with annual rates, and the first-year promo sits on top of those. Month-to-month, Core is $49 (69% more than annual) and Connect is $139 (40% more). That gap is the root of most pricing complaints we found. One r/CRM thread asks whether Jobber is “a scam CRM”, and the replies conclude it isn’t, but that the annual-versus-monthly pricing and card fees aren’t explained clearly.

Card payments cost 2.9% + 30¢, Tap to Pay costs 2.7% + 30¢, and US bank payments cost 1%. Instant payouts cost another 1%. Pushing repeat customers to bank payments saves real money at volume.

What works

  • Low entry price on annual billing: $29/mo, or $21/mo for the first year
  • Website, online booking and online payments included from the entry plan
  • Automated quote and invoice follow-ups from Connect
  • Works for almost any home-service trade, so it still fits if you add services
  • 14-day trial with Grow features and no credit card

What doesn't

  • Month-to-month pricing is 34–69% higher than the advertised annual rates
  • Job costing and two-way texting require Grow ($149/mo annual for one user)
  • Marketing, Pipeline and AI Receptionist cost extra below the Plus plan
  • Card fees (2.9% + 30¢) are higher than some competitors advertise

Who should pick something else

  • Crews of 3–8 who need routes, GPS tracking or financing: Housecall Pro includes these at lower tiers. See our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison.
  • Pressure washers and window cleaners who quote from measurements: QuoteIQ includes satellite measuring from its $99.99/mo Beginner plan and costs $29.99/mo month-to-month at the entry level.
  • Pest control, lawn treatment and pool routes: GorillaDesk prices by route, not by user, so office staff are free.

More options are in our Jobber alternatives guide, and the full cost math is in Jobber pricing explained. Exterior cleaners should also read QuoteIQ vs Jobber.
